Do you need a large battery for your project? This lithium-ion battery has a capacity of 2200 mAh and a protection circuit that protects against overvoltage, under-voltage and overcurrent. Yet it is slim and fits into many project cases.

This cell can deliver a peak current of 2C (4400mA). Note that these batteries are not designed for such high loads. We recommend keeping the constant current draw below 0.5C (1 amp).

The battery comes with color-coded cables, but to use it with our chargers you will probably want to connect a 2-pin JST cable (included!). As this is a genuine JST connector and not an imitation, the cable will not get stuck in a matching JST socket but will plug in and out with ease. The cables are rated for 2A, so if you use them, keep that in mind.

The included protection circuitry prevents the battery voltage from getting too high (overcharge) or too low (overuse), i.e. the battery switches off when it is completely empty at 2.5V. However, despite this protection, it is very important that you only use a LiIon/LiPoly charger with constant voltage and current for charging, at a rate of 0.5C (1 A) or less.

Like most lithium-ion batteries, the batteries we sell do not have built-in thermistors. Therefore, we recommend charging at 1/2C or even less – in this case a maximum of 1A. Of course, you can also charge at a lower rate – it will just take a little longer to fill the battery.

Additional safety instructions: Do not use a NiMH/NiCad/lead-acid charger! Do not abuse, short circuit, bend, crush or puncture these batteries. Never charge or use them unattended. Constantly check the batteries and surrounding circuits for damage, loose cables, or possible short circuits. Like all lithium-ion polymer batteries and any other power source, they should only be used by professionals familiar with power supplies.
